Meet Our Team
We are excited to introduce the youth leading this semester's programming!
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Youth in Pre Med is proud to offer internship and leadership opportunities to high school students around the world. Our interns are able to not only connect with other like-minded youth, but are given the opportunity to educate younger students about the different topics that the vast field of medicine comprises.
Program Directors
Youth in Pre Med is managed by our founder and executive director, Viva Voong, and co-executive director of operations Vienne Voong. The program was founded by Viva Voong during the 2020 pandemic to give youth the resources they need to pursue a career in medicine. Youth in Pre Med has since developed a global impact on nearly 3,000 youth from over 14 countries.

Viva Voong
Founder and Executive Director of Youth in Pre Med
Hello! I am an undergraduate student interested in the applications of biomedical research to clinical medicine. I am currently exploring the intersection of biochemistry and neuroscience.

Regardless of the health field I choose, I aspire to approach my work with compassion, humility, and understanding towards the populations I serve.

In my free time, I am passionate about promoting mentorship and advancing health equity initiatives.

Vienne Voong
Executive Director of Operations
I’m Vienne, a current senior at Lowell High School! You can usually find me studying politics or reading the latest popular fiction novel. In my free time, I love to read books from any genre - from environmental sciences to public health to history. Although I’m not certain which specific medical specialty I’d like to pursue, I am exploring the vast field of public health and hope to possibly combine this interest with public policy and global health initiatives!
As YiPM’s co-executive director of operations, I manage our website and social media page and maintain contact with both interns and participants. I am excited to see you all at our programming this year!
