What is NYU Grossman School of Medicine? NYU Grossman School of Medicine is a part of NYU Langone Health and is located in Midtown Manhattan. This school had a long history of excellence, beginning in 1841 when six physician-scientists opened the medical school. Currently, NYU’s three-year MD program and 21st-century curriculum have earned national recognition, placing this school as one of the best in the nation. NYU Acceptance: NYU Medical School has an acceptance rate of 2.45%. To put this into perspective, in their most recent admission cycle, NYU received 9,243 applications, 999 of which were invited to interview, and eventually, 102 students were enrolled. Those who are admitted typically have a GPA of 3.89 or above, and an MCAT score of 520 or above. With its low acceptance rate and high MCAT scores, this school is highly selective and is best for hard workers and students who strive to be the best. Admission requirements:
Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA status).
Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
International students may also apply if they have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
All applicants must submit MCAT scores, and the time range is as follows. MCAT scores are only considered from three years before the application year, and you can take the test no later than the September you apply for medical school.
NYU Grossman School of Medicine does not have prerequisites, however, they recommend taking the following pre-med courses: inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physics, statistics, genetics, and English.
